Wallabee Wooden Laptop Docking Station
How did you dock your charging laptop? Desktop or laptop bag? Apparently both are traditional ways. Now let’s use Wallabee docking station to dock your laptop on the wall.
The unique homemade wall mount is named Wallabee, a laptop docking station designed by Luu Pham, a maker from Baltimore. As we can see from the images, the incredible idea from life is very useful. When mounting the docking station on the wall, you can put on your laptop, netbook, or MacBook on the station for a charge or rest at any time. Besides, Wallabee also features sturdy construction and easy to apply to the wall.
Candlelight Weddings on the Beach
If you’re planning a destination wedding somewhere near the sand, then chances are you’ll be taking advantage of the stunning outdoor setting. Day or night, candlelight looks so lovely against the sand and sea. Contained in hurricane glasses, lanterns, decorative bags, or hung overhead, consider lighting your aisle or marking the perimeter of your reception by the beautiful glow of candles. Floating on water or boarding it, I just love the reflection you get in your photos! Just be aware of wind factors and make sure your containers are heavy enough to withstand the elements and protect the flame at the same time. And if you’re overseas, you may not need the fire permits you would in the states, but better to be safe than sorry, so ask before you buy those flickering flames! When in doubt, conceal battery operated candles with luminary bags or other decorative decor.
Mason Jar Themed Wedding Shower
This past weekend, we had the pleasure of showering a life long friend for her upcoming wedding!
I had so much fun planning and creating this party! It was a great success - despite the snow that cut the shindigs short...
Here are pictures of the decorations:
I love mason jars, and Kate's colors she is using for her wedding are reminiscent of vintage mason jars.... And, with Valentine's Day just a couple days before, pink hearts had to be used!
My Silhouette Cameo came in handy - making the labels, as well as writing on them with their awesome sketch pens. What a time saver!
These Prosecco Spritzers are a great party cocktail: take your favorite fruit juice and add it to the bottom of your champagne flute. Top with chilled Prosecco as well as petite garnish of Pomegranate Arils... those seeds inside that taste super yummy!
Tomorrow I will be sharing a few tips for setting up a buffet table. It's easier than you think!

KNOW YOUR LENSES: DSLR
Ever since I started giving out easy and practical tips about photography on my blog, I noticed one question being asked more than any other: What are the different types of lenses, and what lens do you use? Today, I’m here to talk just about lenses- which I use, what I recommend on a budget, what is best for faces, and what is best for places. If you are a photography pro, this might not be the most helpful information to you as you probably already know what work best in your situations- but for those still figuring out your DSLR I hope this clears up some of the lens confusion!
one note: the links to lenses below are the ones I own- and are Canons. You can find similar Nikon lenses at similar prices but I don’t personally own them so they aren’t pictured/listed since I haven’t tested them. Also- I am a “hobby” photographer with a blog and limited professional needs, so these are lower-mid line suggestions. If you are considering professional photography you might find higher end glass to suit your needs better.

MINI APPLE PIE COOKIES
I cannot stay away from apples. With the arrival of fall, it just feels so natural to eat apple-y things! It seems like everything I have been pinning lately has been fall-ish and apple-y. I know those probably aren’t real words but they should be!
So it’s no surprise that I pinned this pin for Mini Apple Pie Cookies from Oh Bite It!
I had every ingredient that I needed except for the apple pie filling so off to the store I went.
On my way out of the grocery store, I was following a very attractive Asian lady.
As I was making my way out to my car, she turned around and said “I forgot where I parked my car.”
I replied “Oh my. I do that all the time.” She laughed and said “That makes me feel so much better.”
But then she asked me “Do you think I have Alzheimer’s?” We both kind of chuckled but I told her no, and that she was probably fine. I asked her if she could pull her keys out and press them to make her car sound.
She said “I have a Prius and it’s an electric car. It doesn’t beep!” “I can’t believe I can’t find my car,” she mumbled And off she walked to another aisle to look for her Prius.
I packed up my own car and as I drove out of the parking lot, I saw her still walking around trying to find her car. I felt so bad for her.
So I don’t want you to forget where you parked when you go to get the items to make these wonderful cookies! I want you to remember exactly where you parked so you can get home as quick as you can to get these delicious morsels into the oven! These taste just like an apple pie but quicker and easier. And if I had some vanilla ice cream, that would be the perfect final touch.
After you make them, I know that you’ll agree with me that This Pin Rocks!
Mini Apple Pie Cookies
Author: madefrompinterest.net
Recipe type: Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 Box of frozen Pillsbury Pie Crust (2 sheets per box)
- Approx. 1 Can of Apple Pie Filling
- Approx. 1 Cup of Caramel Sauce
- 1 Egg for the egg-wash
- 2 tbsp. Cinnamon Sugar
- 1 tbsp. Nutmeg
- Flour just for sprinkling
Instructions
- Unroll one of the pie crusts and lay it out on your surface.
- Spread the Caramel Sauce over the pie crust leaving about ⅛" of an edge
- Coarsely chop the apples in the pie filling, then spread on top of the caramel sauce.
- Unroll the 2nd pie crust and cut into strips. I used a wavy edged pastry cutter.
- Layer the pie crust strips over the apple filling in a lattice formation.
- Taking a round cookie cutter, cut your cookies and lay on your cookie sheet.
- Beat your egg and with a pastry brush then brush the egg over the top of the lattice pastry strips.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and some nutmeg.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 or until golden brown.
Notes
Depending on the size of your round cookie cutter, this recipe makes between 6-9 cookies.
